The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) recently published a list of ten general skin care tips from dermatologists that can benefit many.
- Apply sunscreen every day. A quality sunscreen is an important step in daily skin care. It slows down skin aging and helps prevent skin cancer. Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher and preferably waterproof is best.
- Do not smoke. Smoking accelerates skin aging. In addition, research shows that smoking worsens certain skin conditions, such as psoriasis, etc., according to the AAD.
- Check your skin. Because your beautician or dermatologist has a closer picture of your skin, don't neglect your visit. With the advice of your doctor knowing the signs of skin cancer you will be able to do the test at home, prevention and knowledge is what will protect you.
- Avoid tanning beds. Use better self-tanner cosmetics. There are many self-tanner cosmetics that will impress you with the result without the risk of skin cancer.
