The traditional medicine of India

Shirodhara is a part of it Ayurveda, the traditional medicine of India. The name comes from the Sanskrit words Shiro (head) and Dhara (flow). Ayurveda holds that the center of the forehead is the seat of intuition and spirituality.

It is about the warm and continuous flow of aromatic oils on the forehead, especially on the "third eye". This is the point just above the chakra and between the eyebrows and is said to be the seat of human consciousness. The olive they flow over the scalp and through the hair, creating a feeling of happiness. The fluids used in shirodhara depend on what is being treated.
