Himalayan salt baking sheet

Himalayan salt baking sheet

You bake and the food gets salted ... by itself. The baking sheets are made entirely of Himalayan rock salt and are at your disposal to offer you an unprecedented taste and healthy cooking experience!
Impress your loved one, your guests, your family by cooking and serving your food on the plate!
Many well-known foreign restaurants and great chefs in Germany, France, Italy, Turkey, America, but now also in Greece, use the plates to offer their customers a unique dining experience, but also a special aesthetic effect on the table!
When it comes to heating and cleaning, salt slabs need care especially in the beginning. The first few times you use them you should be careful.
In the first uses, cracks and fissures will appear and its original pink color may change to a whiter color. This is normal and should not worry you. With use and washing you may find that it regains some of its original color.
When cooking with salt slabs they should be at least 2.5 cm thick or more.
Place the plate on the gas eye, inside your oven, on the barbecue (bbq charcoal or gas). Then pour on it the spices and herbs you want without adding salt and cook everything (such as meat, seafood, fish, vegetables, egg).
If you want the food less salty, all you have to do is coat the griddle and the food with oil and then let them cook!

Warm-up:

A) using a natural gas stove: place the plate on the stove. Set the temperature to low and let it heat for 15 minutes. You may notice moisture collecting at the edges which will evaporate as the plate heats up. The slower you do it the better!
B) using an electric stove: it works better than natural gas as there is less moisture and a more even distribution of heat. If heating on the stove, use a pastry case or a wok stand or some metal object to raise the plate slightly above the stove. And here you should start with a low temperature for about 10 minutes. And then continue with the desired temperature. Due to the fact that the plate is mineral, it should be heated and cooled gradually.
For example if you put it on a gas bbq you will set it to scale 1 first and after 10 minutes you will raise the temperature to 3 to let the plate adjust to the change in temperature. Cook your food without burning it!

How to use:

After you've preheated the griddle the way we mentioned earlier, turn your heat up to high until the griddle is fired up and burning nicely!
The food to be cooked should be oiled beforehand. Similarly, you will also oil the entire surface of the plate.
Then add herbs on the plate and then the food you want to grill. Wait until it is cooked. When the side of the food that touches the plate turns white, you should turn it over.

Notes:

Salt collects things (like paint) on it quite easily, so the more care you give the slab when cooking, the better it will look! Maybe its color is starting to change, but that doesn't mean it doesn't cook just as well as before.
When you clean it you have to let it cool very well (it takes quite a while) and you have to make sure it has cooled completely!
How to clean the plate:
Rinse with lukewarm water and a sponge. Scrub vigorously areas where food residue (grease) may have stuck or crystallized.
Dry it evenly with a soft pressed cloth or paper and remove any residue. Let it air dry naturally and store it in a moisture-free place.

Tips:

How salty will the food be? As for how much salt gets into your food, it depends on how much liquid is in the food, how much fat it contains, how hot the salt pan is, and how long you cook the food on it.
Brush with pure olive oil to create a natural film and after the plate has burned, brush with olive oil again. You are ready to put whatever you have chosen to cook on it!
Food should not be too thick. As mentioned above, lightly brush your plate and food with good quality oil to make them less salty.

Attention:

The slab should not be soaked.
Also, you should not use detergent when cleaning it!
The mineral plate Himalayan salt lasts for many, many uses – about 3 years if you use it 2 times every week!
