Pool safety recommendations

Pool safety should be a top priority, especially if you have small children or pets. You can never be completely safe and an accident can happen very quickly. That's why constant monitoring is the most effective of all guardian angels. Here are some simple tips to make your pool safer, so you can enjoy its joys in peace.

Prevention is better than cure

The safety of your children is in your hands. The risk is greater for children under the age of 5. But accidents happen to everyone.

Surveillance and taking measures

-Always supervise children.
-Never leave a small child near the pool even if the pool is small and not deep, because a child can drown in even a few centimeters of water.
-Appoint a person responsible for security
-Surveillance should be increased when there are more people in the pool.
-Teach your children to swim as early as possible, so that if they fall into the pool they can swim to the edge without panicking.
-Never enter the water suddenly, especially after a meal (the recommended time frame is 2 hours), do not expose yourself to the sun and do not exert excessive effort because there is a risk of drowning. In addition, users are advised to take a shower before entering the pool or at least wet their neck, arms and legs.
-Take first aid classes, especially for young children.
-Don't dive in front of children.
-Before getting a paddling pool, make sure it is suitable for the depth of the pool and that the water is deep enough for swimming.
-To avoid falls, do not run around the pool. You can prevent slipping by installing anti-slip edges.
-Running and rough play are prohibited near the pool.
-Do not allow children who do not know how to swim well to enter the pool without the protection of a life jacket.
-Do not leave toys near unattended swimming pools.
-Store pool maintenance chemicals in places that children cannot access.
-Always confirm that the water is clean and hygienic.
-Use the equipment according to the manufacturers' instructions. Do not use the ladders for any purpose other than the purpose for which they were manufactured.

Precautionary measures

Although accidents are rare in private pools, they do happen. To reduce the risk of an accident, take protective measures by following the rules below for maximum protection and enjoyment.
-Keep the phone near the pool so that you don't leave the children alone to answer.
-Have a lifeguard pole near the pool.

The above systems do not in any way replace continuous surveillance.

Accident case

-Remove the child from the water as soon as possible.
-Call for help immediately and follow the instructions given to you.
-Remove any wet clothing and wrap the child in a warm blanket.

First aid

-Fire Department: 199
-First aid: 166

Remember: if you do not follow the maintenance and safety instructions, you may be at serious risk to the health of children in particular.
