At a distance of 50 km from Agrinio and 17 km from Amfilochia, going towards Vonitsa, is the thermal spring of Agios Varvaros. The spring takes its name from Saint Barbaros, who before he was canonized was a notorious bandit in the area. Next to the source is the tomb of the Saint.
