Food intolerance

Food intolerance

Andreas Xanthos puts an end to the "Kombogianites" with his decision.

By decision of the Minister of Health, Andreas Xanthou, the control regime for food intolerance, bioresonance and biofeedback devices is regulated.
Regarding food intolerance, the ministerial decision states that "only documented methods can be used to define the existence of an allergy or hypersensitivity. This diagnosis can only lead to advice on the exclusion of foods that cause allergic reactions and not to the design of the diet."
And it clearly adds that "food sensitivities have no relationship, at least until now scientifically documented, with body weight or metabolic rate, its regulation, weight loss and the design of a diet for this purpose" is underlined in the ministerial decision. Also, of the alternative methods, none has been scientifically documented so far, therefore it should not be applied either for diagnosis or treatment".

Regarding metabolism, it is noted that "its measurement is useful for nutritional assessment, but not necessary. In any case, its measurement or assessment can be done by a dietician. At the moment, there are no commercially available reliable and certified clinical tests for the detection of food intolerances. The use of intolerance tests in weight loss programs has no scientific basis, on the one hand because the tests used have no diagnostic value, and on the other hand because food intolerances are not related to weight loss. Therefore, these tests should not be used in diet centers, as tools that determine weight loss programs, on the one hand because they have no effect, on the other hand because they can lead to significant nutritional deficiencies by excluding foods, which according to the test can to cause food intolerances".

Finally, with regard to bioresonance, the ministerial decision states that it is not a diagnostic method in the sense used by conventional classical medicine. It is part of alternative medicine, such as acupuncture, functional feedback and other alternative methods, and the effectiveness of the method is not scientifically proven.
And it is noted that the medical technology that is used is basically middle technological generation, without the requirement of a modern technological infrastructure. The circulation of bioresonance machines requires CE marking. The operation of clinics and bioresonance centers should be subject to the Ministerial Decision, "Terms and conditions, instruments and procedure for granting feasibility permits and operating permits for the installation and operation of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation machines."
