Beauty, according to Ayurveda, is considered a blessing from God. It is our duty to keep our body and mind healthy and beautiful.

Ayurveda, the ancient Indian philosophical and healing method promotes good health, well-being, vitality and energy expressed through our skin. A healthy person has shiny, elastic, firm skin. When we are sick, our skin is dull, lackluster, we may have problems with acne, black pores, etc.
Indeed, Ayurveda treats human existence as a whole, linking the condition of the skin with the internal health of the body and mind. So according to Ayurveda, visible beauty is simply the mirror of inner beauty.
Discover your dosha
According to Ayurveda, the entire universe, and consequently man, consists of the five fundamental elements: earth, water, fire, air, ether. In man these elements combine to give life to three main forces or energies, called doshas, which regulate all the processes of the organism and determine its characteristics.
Ayurveda divides people into three basic types (doshas), according to the dominant temperament of the three that exists in their nature. The doshas are: vata, pitta, kapha. Each dosha characterizes a human type with specific physical and psychological characteristics.
From the basic types, their combinations also arise (e.g. the purely vata type, but also the pitta – kapha type), resulting in a total of 10 types, each with different characteristics.
Vata skin type
If your skin is thin, dry and cool to the touch, you probably have Vata skin. When out of balance, it can become excessively dry, rough or thin. Vata skin tends to get more wrinkled as it ages, due to the dryness of the Vata dosha, and can take on a grayish or dull appearance if your digestion is out of balance. If you have Vata skin, you are particularly sensitive to mental stress, which inevitably leads to a tired appearance.
Pitta skin type
Pitta skin is warmer or rosy in color, soft to the touch and of medium thickness. These qualities, along with blonde or red hair, correspond to the warm Pitta dosha. When out of balance, this skin type can suffer from skin rashes, networks acne, or rosacea. Pitta skin is usually more sensitive, and emotional stress can cause breakouts when you're stressed.
Kapha skin type
Kapha skin is cool to the touch, thicker and softer than the other two types. If your skin is dark and your hair is thick, wavy, you probably have Kapha skin. People with Kapha skin do not tend to form wrinkles until very late in life. When out of balance, Kapha skin can suffer from excessive oiliness, enlarged pores, eczema, pimples, fluid retention and swelling.
