Greasy hair: No more!!!

Greasy hair: No more!!!

Greasy hair: No more!!!

For most of us Oiliness is a condition that troubles us every day. Greasy hair: No more

While we bathe and comb our hair, it starts to show in a few hours unwashed and unkempt.

Greasy hair: No more

The oil comes from the sebaceous glands that are meant to protect our hair. Unfortunately, we can't mess with our glands. But we can certainly help our hair look clean and healthy with various natural methods.

Before looking at the possible solutions, let's look at the causes of the problem:

  •  Heredity: if one of your parents has oily hair then there are chances of you getting it too.
  • Hormonal disorders: especially in adult women oiliness may occur, mainly during ovulation or due to taking birth control pills. Also, the period of puberty greatly affects the oiliness of the hair.
  • The use of anabolic steroids: excessive secretion of sebum is a side effect of the use of these drugs.
  • The type of hair: curly hair shows less oiliness than straight hair.
  • Various external factors: the problem is often aggravated by heat, humidity, dust, pollution and the use of styling products.

Caution: diet is NOT one of the factors affecting hair oiliness.

Let's now look at possible solutions to the problem that may be found in our home or concern some of our simple habits:

•Limit bathing to once or twice a week. Daily bathing with hot water disorganizes our scalp and thus secretes more sebum to restore its balance.

• We brush our hair at most twice a day. Excessive brushing stimulates the sebaceous glands, while brushing moves the sebum throughout the hair.

•We don't touch our hair often. Frequent touching and many care products transfer the oiliness throughout the hair.

•We use products with sulfur for hair. Sulfur is an element of our own body and is extremely effective in treating skin problems. It has astringent and antiseptic properties. It helps the scalp to become less oily and healthier.

•Keep your hormones in balance. To achieve this, you will need a medical check-up and appropriate nutritional supplements.

•Eat fish and seafood. Seafood contains omega-3 fatty acids and zinc. These elements help regulate sebum and make hair grow faster.

•Use baking soda. Put a small amount of baking soda in your hand along with the shampoo and wash your hair. Every trace of oiliness will be removed as well as the remains of care products.

•Avoid tying hair. When you tie your hair you prevent it from breathing. While you try to hide the oiliness, the exact opposite happens.

•Put talcum powder on the roots. Try this trick to absorb oiliness. Then shake and brush normally.

•Use a softening cream or mask sparingly. Limit the use of the above products only to the ends of the hair.
