A new spa pavilion is being created in the autumn Canadian landscape. SPA in a lake
West Pavilion
The Spa BALNEA in Canada presents a new, design-oriented experience for visitors seeking to reconnect with the sweeping landscape. The Pavillon Ouest, or West Pavilion, includes a large terrace, hot tub, and hammam.
SPA in a lake
It adds capacity to the spa, while at the same time, through its exceptional facilities, reinvents the art of relaxation through a fully immersive experience in the heart of nature. Located in Bromont, it overlooks a magnificent natural landscape, uniquely showcased through its innovative architecture.
Wonderful view and green design
The new pavilion is designed to create a new connection with the surrounding forested landscape, as the spa originally only had a view of “Lac Gale”. As the architectural team’s goal was to minimize the environmental footprint, the owners chose a sustainable approach for everything from the materials to the mechanical equipment of the new wellness space. To minimize interference with the local flora and fauna, the new structures were constructed off-site, with only the final assembly taking place on site.
Thermal baths between the lake and the mountain
The Thermal Baths can accommodate up to 25 bathers at a time, making it the largest spa. During the summer, the space is used as a relaxation pool, offering an exceptional thermal experience. The infinity pool was chosen so that the water surface blends evenly with the surface of the lake in the background and the mountains beyond. This ensures the privacy of the space, while guests have the opportunity to enjoy the thermal baths protected from the surrounding area.
Whatever the soft yellow light illuminates
The positioning of the facilities on the west side of the spa was intended to highlight an area that had previously been underused. The restaurant and outdoor terrace were moved to the east, close to the reception area. The long-term goal is to give guests more access to this sunny spot with its soothing yellow light, which lingers at the end of winter days and provides gentle warmth on long summer afternoons.
