Wear your sunscreen while swimming. The sun's rays penetrate the water even one meter below its surface. Wear sunscreen even when it's cloudy, even under an umbrella.

If you are on birth control there is a high chance that the sun will cause hot flashes. Choose a product with a high protection index and enriched with ingredients that balance the overproduction of melanin.

If you already have freckles, it's a good idea not to overdo it with scrubs when you plan to sunbathe.

In last year's sunscreen, the protection index is reduced, so it does not offer you the same protection.

Beware of staying in the sun for too long. Overdosing on the sun and abstaining for five days does not ensure an even tan that lasts. On the contrary, it causes skin problems, increases the risk of burns and causes the skin to darken in places with a tendency to show spots (in the areas that are more exposed, such as the face).

Valuable protection rules:

  • Start with short periods of sun exposure of 5 to 10 minutes twice a day. Gradually increase your time in the sun.
  • Do not expose yourself to solar radiation during peak hours when the sun is very strong (12:00 – 16:00)
  • Always use a sunscreen with an indicator, depending on your skin type.
  • During sunbathing take care of your constant hydration by drinking water, juices and tea and avoiding soft drinks.
  • After sunbathing, the best is a cool shower, which will remove the residues from the oil or sunscreen, as well as the salt from the sea. After showering it is recommended to use a good moisturizing lotion all over the body to prevent dryness.
  • If you find that your skin becomes very dry and fragile after sun exposure, use one daily moisturizing lotion.
  • Finally, don't forget your hat and glasses.
