How do we use sunscreen correctly?

How do we use sunscreen correctly?

* We choose the right sunscreen according to the color and type of our skin, our age, our activities.
*The application of the sunscreen must be done 20-30 minutes before exposure to the sun, that is practically before leaving the house.
* We don't forget to put sunscreen on all sun-exposed parts of the body, even the neck, ears, etc.
* We get proper and even protection when we do a good and even spread.
* Avoid exposure to the sun between 12 am & 4 pm.
* We repeat the application approximately every 2 hours.
* If we swim or sweat (e.g. rackets) reapply sunscreen, even if less than 2 hours have passed.
* We use sunscreen even in situations where we think we are protected (eg in the car, under a beach umbrella, etc.). The reflections on buildings, sea, sand, etc., send us solar radiation.
* White skin has less protection from the sun and needs a higher SPF.
* Pay attention to the expiry date of the sunscreen.
* Sunscreens deteriorate when exposed to heat and sunlight.
* When we see alteration or separation in the essence of the sunscreen, we do not use it.
* If we notice any skin reaction, eg redness, stop using sunscreen immediately.
* Around the eyes we only use sunscreen that is made for this purpose and not body sunscreen.
* To avoid photoaging around the eyes, photokeratitis and conjunctivitis, we use a hat with a wide brim and dark sunglasses.
* Even on a cloudy day we use sun protection, because the solar radiation may be less, but it is still there.
