The pioneer and founder of the center is the entrepreneur Maria Kalavria. Known for her successful career in the field of fashion either on the catwalks or with the creation of the first Ice Cube boutique in Athens which marked the beginning of fashion concept stores, three years ago she decided to invest in the beauty sector. The occasion to establish a center of high standards was the exclusive representation of Coolsculpting, where the need was born to house this unique treatment in a corresponding medical center. Subsequently, the team was enriched with experienced doctors and highly trained associates, and the range of services is constantly expanding.
Eleni Stefanouri
The director of MC Medical Center has a long presence in the field, having to her credit 18 years of involvement and responsibility in aesthetic medicine medical centers. For Eleni Stefanouri, aesthetics is a priority as a sign of health and natural beauty. A healthy mind in a healthy body, and its basic principle is moderation. Having a lot of experience, with a warm smile he directs the interested party to the right choice. Dr. Dimitrios Karafulidis – Dermatologist Venereologist
A graduate of the School of Medicine of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, Dr. Dimitrios Karafulidis is a Specialist Dermatologist Venereologist. His further education at the Kapodistrian University concerns stem cell medicine and regenerative medicine (Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine). He completed his specialization in Dermatology-Aphrodisology at the Dermatology Clinic of the PAGNI University Hospital in Heraklion, Crete. He has attended many Medical seminars and conferences while he is also a scientific associate with the aim of constantly enriching his knowledge and being informed about developments. He is a member of the Hellenic Society of Dermatology & Venereology, the Hellenic Melanoma Society and the International Society of Cosmetic Dermatology, as well as the International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology and the European Academy of Dermatology & Venereology. He never gets complacent but constantly strives to be one step ahead, testing treatments and adding knowledge to both skin conditions, pediatric dermatology, new treatments for venereal diseases and of course follows the latest non-invasive anti-aging trends
Dr. Prodromos Papaioannou – Plastic Surgeon
A graduate of Anatolia College, he was born and raised in Thessaloniki. He studied at the medical school of Thessaloniki and then completed his agricultural term at the Sismanoglio hospital in Komotini in the surgery department. He then began his plastic surgery specialty in Germany at the Pirmasens State Hospital, the Asklepios Wandsbek Hospitals in Hamburg, the Magdeburg University Hospital and the Braunschweig State Clinic. After completing his training, he worked as a sub-specialist at the Braunschweig clinic, specializing in breast reconstruction after cancer and cosmetic surgery. He remained in Germany for a total of 9 years and participated in scientific research, while at the same time I wrote my doctoral thesis (Dr. Med.) at the Magdeburg clinic. He deals with cosmetic surgery of the face, chest and body, breast surgery, microsurgery and minimally invasive surgery of the hand and wrist and the new methods of antiaging and liposuction. He divides his time between the practice he maintains in Thessaloniki and the MC Medical Center in Athens.
Dr. Christos Fliatouras – Surgeon Urologist – Andrologist
Scientific manager of the andrology department, Dr. Christos Fliatouras holds the European title in Urology and graduated from the Medical School of L'Aquila University in Italy. An active member of the Hellenic Urological Society, the European Urological Society, the Medical Association of Athens and the European Society for Sexual Health, he is the Scientific Officer of the Andrological Institute of Athens. He continues to participate in many conferences while he has focused in addition to urological diseases and andrology, on treatments related to male anti-aging.
Dr. Dimitrios Lyras – Orthopedic Surgeon MD, DVM, MSc, PhD
Dr. Dimitris Lyras is the first researcher worldwide to study the effect of PRP on tendon healing. This topic was the subject of his doctoral study, in which he focused on the healing ability of PRP in the Achilles and Patellar tendon. He has published nine papers regarding PRP in international journals, one of which has been awarded as the best paper for the year 2010 by the European Society of Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Because of his research, he has been included in "American Who is Who in Medicine" for the year 2011, while he is frequently invited as an honorary speaker at many international conferences. A graduate of the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace, he completed his postgraduate studies at the National Kapodistrian University, Medical School of Athens, Department of Osteoporosis. He is a Scientific Associate of the Orthopedic Clinic of the Medical School of Democritus and an external associate of EME experts (Expert Medical Education).
