Hammam
The hammam (or Turkish bath) is the Eastern version of the steam bath and is considered the wet version of the sauna. Hammams played a key role in the culture of Eastern countries as they were places of meeting, purification and architectural beauty. The Europeans got to know the hammams through contacts with Turkey, therefore, they renamed the hammams Turkish hammams. In Western Europe and especially during the Victorian era, hammams were a method of physical purification and relaxation. Nowadays, hammams and hammam relaxation centers exist worldwide, offering moments of relaxation to those who prefer them. Although in the past hammams were exclusively used by men, today there are also women's hammams. In Greece, the oldest hammam in operation is located in Patras and dates back to 1400.
Hydromassage
The hydromassage is the mixing of water and air, which are ejected from the jets, providing relaxation to the muscles and the circulatory system. For this reason, the time duration is set at 15-20 minutes each time.
