Caruso Belvedere
Caruso Belvedere, Mediterranean beauty
"Closer to the sky than to the sea", this is how André Gide described the Caruso Belvedere. Hotel CarusoBelvedere is a renovated 11th century palaceu century built on the highest point of the medieval town of Ravello, 350 meters above the Amalfi coast of Southern Italy.
In 1893, Pantaleone Caruso and his wife rented 5 rooms in one of Marquis D'Afflitto's wings turning them into a boarding house and that was just the beginning. The Caruso Belvedere's refined luxury and breathtaking views have since attracted names of the international jet set such as Gina Lollobrigida, Humphrey Bogart, h Diane Keaton and Truman Capote. The 48 rooms of the completely renovated palace enjoy panoramic views of the Amalfi Coast and lush Mediterranean gardens, while each one has its own distinct Neapolitan decoration. In the three restaurants and two bars of Caruso Belvedere, Mediterranean cuisine plays a leading role and is married with European flavors always combined with a breathtaking view.
The real jewel of the hotel, however, is the heated infinity pool. The swimming pool is accessible from an alley overgrown with roses that seems to lead to heaven. The view at the end of it does not disappoint. Its elliptical shape, perfectly in harmony with the surrounding space and the lining of intense blue color makes it look like it is pouring into the infinity of the Mediterranean. Personal i pods with music, delicious cocktails, evian spray, fresh fruit and a personal butler are just a few of the amenities that, combined with the unparalleled beauty of the landscape, make the Caruso Blevedere pool one of the 10 most beautiful and luxurious pools in the world.
