There is no woman, and no man, who does not want to have beautiful and healthy nails. Every day our hands and especially our nails suffer from various necessary tasks inside and outside the house, such as manual tasks, cleaning objects, washing dishes, etc.
This situation can create several problems for our nails, due to the lack of the necessary nutrients, resulting in the nails breaking.
Read how you can keep your nails healthy, strong and beautiful, as long as you follow some simple and easy tips:
- Κρατήστε τα νύχια σας ενυδατωμένα: Χρησιμοποιήστε κρέμα χεριών που να αναγράφει ότι προστατεύει και τα νύχια. Επιπλέον μπορείτε να βελτιώσετε την φροντίδα τους χρησιμοποιώντας ειδικό λάδι για τα νύχια που μαλακώνει τα cuticles.
- Always wear latex or rubber gloves for housework: Many women consider it unnecessary to use gloves for housework and especially for washing dishes, as a result of which the nails become scratched and broken.
- Exfoliate your hands: Use lukewarm water to wet your hands and then rub them with coarse table salt for a few minutes to slough off the dead skin cells. Wash your hands thoroughly with clean water.
- Dry your hands carefully after each wash: This is very important for the skin of your hands, but also for the health of your nails.
- Increase your intake of B vitamins: You can do this with over-the-counter medications that contain biotin (vitamin B7), important for nail growth.
- Add calcium to your diet: A cup of milk and an egg in your daily menu can do wonders for the health of your nails. In this way you can also get rid of the annoying white spots on the nails caused by the lack of zinc.
- Cut your nails short: Cut and file your nails to a slightly oval shape, not round. The ideal size is short, so that the nail barely covers the tip of the finger or protrudes no more than 3 millimeters from it.
- Massage your nails: Massage improves the quality of nails and makes them stronger and more durable. To do this, it is enough to spread some nourishing oil on the nails and rub with your fingertips so that the oil spreads to the surrounding skin. You leave it for a few minutes to act and pass your fingers with a cotton pad soaked in toning lotion.
- Avoid using acetone: Remove your nails with an acetone-free nail polish remover, because acetone dehydrates them, making them weak and brittle. Carefully remove all the remains of the varnish (if there was any) and let your hands soak in some warm water to which you have added the juice of the lemons. Vitamin C and lemon acids have a whitening effect and help keep your nails white and strong.
- Important advice before painting your nails: Before painting, first apply a nourishing base and wait for it to dry. This procedure is important and you must always follow it to protect the nails from the aggressive action of the color.
