Mole removal should be done before summer

Mole removal should be done before summer

Skin that is overexposed to the sun has an increased chance of developing skin cancer and especially melanoma, the most aggressive skin cancer. Any mole that changes in color, shape, or size is suspicious for malignancy and should be removed immediately. Also suspicious is any mole that has unclear boundaries and is quite large in size.

A suitable time to remove moles is the period before summer. The reasons are as follows:

  1. When the skin is in the process of healing, after the removal of the mole, it is advisable not to be exposed to much sunlight,
  2. If moles are removed during the summer we will not be able to swim in the sea for a period of a few weeks and
  3. An already suspected malignant nevus should not be exposed to additional radiation during the summer.
It is good to think about prevention in terms of skin damage before the sun's rays remind him of it.
