Why low carb diets don't help you!

Why low carb diets don't help you!

It is very often recommended to people who want to lose weight to reduce their carbohydrate intake. Something that usually naturally catches and in the short term the weight loss is significant. This is also why the popularity of these nutritional schemes is great, see Dukan. But what is the problem? Why do nutritionists have the opposite opinion?
Fortunately, the science of nutrition has evolved and with it much of what we believed until now. THE
the truth is that the reduction of carbohydrates has long-term serious consequences for the hormonal profile of each person, especially if it is an athlete. In other words, the reduction of carbohydrates - let alone abstinence - costs us. And it costs us at an important level: that of hormones.
Low carbohydrate levels mean for the body:
Decreased thyroid function
Increased cortisol levels – which will contribute to fat gain in the long term
Decreased testosterone and female hormone disturbances - which inhibits muscle tissue synthesis
Disturbed mood and cognitive function
Muscle catabolism and reduced function of the immune system
In other words, the metabolism goes down, stress hormones go up - and besides, you don't lose more weight in the long run than if you had followed a balanced carb program. The secret is not to have low carbs, but the right carbs and at the same time sufficient protein.

Basically, if you want to see results in your body, it is important:
Choose a program that fits your lifestyle
Have foods you like and not cut out others – let alone whole food groups
Choose a form of exercise that pleases you
See this effort as a means of improving and not punishing your body
We are here to help you. We make the program that suits you and help you put everything into practice.
