Plastic Surgeon Dimitrios Laoulakos has been Director of the Plastic Surgery clinic at the Athens Naval Hospital since 2008.

He graduated from the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1990. In August 1991, plastic surgeon Dimitrios Laoulakos obtained a degree in Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine, at the Naval Hospitals of Athens and Salamis, while in March 1996 and March 2001 he obtained a degree in Specialized Support Life Trauma (ATLS), twice, at the Medical School of the University of Athens.

In June 2000 he specialized in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery in Athens, having first trained in nursing institutions in the United Kingdom. In November 2001, he obtained the Diploma of the European Commission of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (EBOPRAS) in Graz, Austria, while then he did Post-Training at NOTTINGHAM CITY HOSPITAL (2004-2006), in the United Kingdom, training in microsurgical breast reconstruction techniques after mastectomy, but also in the treatment of soft tissue sarcoma.

Dr. D. Laoulakos has been awarded 6 times at the Hellenic Congress of Plastic Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (1999, 2001, 2001, 2003, 2011 & 2015) for his papers, original clinical studies, presentations and oral communications related to his specialty.

He also has publications in Greek and international scientific journals. He constantly researches and studies the new data of his specialty, being a subscriber to international well-known magazines and international conferences, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery.
