You are struggling to keep it freshly painted<\/a> your manicure<\/a> intact? Why doesn't the manicure last?
\nMano, your diet or<\/a> your daily skin care may be some of the factors responsible for this.<\/p>\n

Our hands and nails reveal a lot about our health. Like our skin, our nails can start to become dehydrated and brittle, leaving them looking weak and damaged.<\/p>\n

What you see on the surface of the nail arises from its root inside your fingers which nourishes it.<\/p>\n

So, in case you are frustrated with your brittle nails that constantly break and are scarred, consider whether you are generally ignoring your health to some extent. There are many reasons that can be responsible for damaged nails.<\/p>\n

You are not getting enough iron<\/strong>
\nLow iron levels and anemia can cause damaged nails. Iron helps produce hemoglobin, which carries red blood cells loaded with fresh oxygen to the nail matrix, explains Ella Toombs, a board-certified dermatologist in Washington, D.C. Without this nutrient, nails will be uneven. It will help with proper development<\/a> and the shape of your nails, eating foods such as beans, spinach, oysters and dark chocolate.<\/p>\n

Why doesn't the manicure last?<\/h2>\n

The too frequent contact of your nails with the keyboard or touch screens, no matter how painless you think it is, wears down your nails, making it easier for them to break and grow irregularly.<\/p>\n

Apply hand lotion only in the morning<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There is no point in applying moisturizing<\/a> in your hands only in the morning. It's a good idea to always have one with you, as every time you wash your hands with soap, your skin gets dehydrated, and so does the nail root that is getting ready to come out. The cuticles<\/a> around the base of your nail have a very important role in its growth, as they protect it from bacteria. Removing them is like removing your nails' natural defense against infection.<\/p>\n

If they bother you, instead of cutting them, moisturize them by applying a little oil or moisturizing lotion.<\/p>\n
