We lose water every day without realizing it, so it is important to replenish our body&#039;s water supply. Water aids circulation, digestion, absorption and excretion. It increases our metabolic rate and improves our digestive system, which removes toxins and waste from our body.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Does our skin benefit from drinking water?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There are ongoing debates about the benefits of drinking water for your skin. Some believe that drinking plenty of water leaves your skin glowing. Others will say that it has absolutely no proven effect. In any case, the skin is an organ and, just like any other organ, it is made up of cells. And the cells from water. So it makes sense that, without water, cells won&#039;t function at their best \u2013 and your skin won&#039;t look its best. When dehydrated, your skin can become dry, tight, flaky and irritated. Dry skin has less strength, less resistance to radiation, and is more prone to wrinkles.<br \/>\nTHE <a href=\"https:\/\/spa-about.gr\/en\/botox-iatriki-aisthitiki\/antigiransi-anaplasi-prosopou\/kalokairi-telos-ora-gia-sosti-enydatosi-chrisima-tips-gia-prosopo-kai-soma\/\">proper hydration<\/a>, however, can help maintain optimal moisture and transport nutrients to our skin cells. It replenishes skin tissue and increases elasticity, which in turn can delay the appearance of signs of aging such as wrinkles and fine lines. And drinking water can also help fight disorders like psoriasis, eczema, and wrinkles.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>And about washing your face with water?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>It&#039;s something we do without really thinking about it, a standard part of our daily skincare routine.<br \/>\nYou should cleanse your face to remove makeup and other products. Cosmetics today are designed with amazing staying power \u2013 often water alone won&#039;t be enough to cleanse your skin. However, you should not be fooled into going overboard <a href=\"https:\/\/spa-about.gr\/en\/ygeia\/poso-syxna-prepei-na-kanete-apotrixosi\/\">peeling<\/a> or excessive washing. If your skin isn&#039;t looking its best, it&#039;s natural to want to throw products at the problem. But overdoing it will only lead to more dryness, irritation and inflammation. As with most things in life, moderation is key. And whatever you do, be gentle \u2013 don&#039;t scrub hard with a towel. Be kind to your face. Wash and apply products in a soft, circular pattern.<\/p>\n<p>However, some soaps and cleansers are full of chemicals and can be very harsh. The top layer of your skin plays a vital role in keeping moisture in and using harsh products can damage and strip this outer layer, so while washing your face with water is a much gentler option it&#039;s good to remember that water temperature has an important role to play.<\/p>\n<p>Most people will have heard the myth: wash your face with <a href=\"https:\/\/spa-about.gr\/en\/diaita-diatrofi\/pinete-zesto-nero\/\">hot water<\/a> to open your pores, and with cold water to close them. Don&#039;t believe it \u2013 exposing your skin to extreme temperatures can cause irritation, dryness and redness. It needs a nice warm, in between temperature to avoid the disturbance on your face.
