The weather cooled and dry skin made its appearance. For some people dry skin can be more than a nuisance, it is a painful condition that makes their daily life difficult.
Some tips that may help you:
* The shower or bath should be short, the water lukewarm using a mild detergent. Although it is very tempting to take a hot shower in winter it is better to avoid it.
* Gently tap the irritated skin and do not rub it.
* Hydration after bathing is essential.
* Beware of cosmetics containing alcohol and perfumes, as they are not suitable for dry skin. Creams and ointments are more effective than lotions.
* Choose soft, lightweight clothing fabrics, such as breathable cotton, rather than harder ones such as wool.
* Hands, which are more exposed to the cold, creams should be our first thought after washing, and for an extra dose of moisture you can apply a little Vaseline to your hands at night.
Dry skin can also be a sign of a medical condition such as eczema, so if simple skin care doesn't relieve you, it's a good idea to make an appointment with your dermatologist.
