Lake Vouliagmeni is among the 20 recognized thermal springs of Greece by the Special Committee for the Protection of Natural Thermal Resources. The healing properties of the natural springs that feed the Lake are due to the water's rich content of salts and minerals, specifically potassium, sodium, lithium, ammonium, calcium, iron, chlorine and iodine. All this combined with the high water temperatures contribute to the relief of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, post-traumatic rehabilitation as well as gynecological and dermatological diseases

WATER RENEWAL & BALANCE

The water of the Lake emerges from sources 50 to 100 meters deep with a temperature that varies steadily between 22° – 29° degrees throughout the year. The Lake flows into the sea as its level is 50 cm higher than its surface. This helps in the continuous renewal of the water of the Lake and also in its brackish composition.

FISH SPA THE PEELING OF NATURE

Permanent and natural inhabitants of the Lake, the Garra Rufa fish, promise its visitors a special exfoliation experience. The little fishes, also known as Doctor Fish or Spa Fish, "undertake" to rid the skin of dead cells, simultaneously performing a relaxing massage on every swimmer in the lake.

Under the shade of the pines and with a view of the imposing rocks, the Lake is suitable for outdoor training and experiential activities.
